About Us
Founded in 2007, Canadian Greatness® recognizes Great Canadians who are shaping the modern image of Canada in the arts, business, culture, philanthropy, politics and sports. It became a federally registered not‑for‑profit corporation on July 2, 2009. Canadian Greatness® is a “Give Forward” platform—for the people by the people—to foster the achieving of greatness and to increase nation building, philanthropy and national distinction.
At the same time, Canadian Greatness® gives forward to reward charities that deliver great impact. Led by a group of experienced and effective branding professionals and practitioners and distinguished academics, mostly volunteers, Canadian Greatness® has to date raised over $200,000 for over 100 not‑for‑profits.
Canadian Greatness® has no political affiliations and does not receive funding from any political party or government. Its funding comes from its donors, sponsors, advertisers and philanthropists.

Charles Pachter, Kenojuak Ashevak, Anne Ottenbrite‑Muylaert, Raymond Moriyama—what dreams and desires drive these Canadians to transform their visions into great realities?
In 2008, Canadian Greatness® continued to celebrate personalities who are shaping the modern image of Canada. People who make an impact, influence decisions and establish benchmarks that are far‑reaching and achieve great results.
In the spirit of philanthropy, Canadian Greatness® celebrated these inspiring Canadians. They shared their journey to greatness on a series of limited edition, two‑sided jig‑saw puzzles, which inspired others to give forward to not‑for‑profits. Like every Canadian, these four great Canadians have dreams and desires and the ability to transform them through design and discipline to achieve their own greatness. Sharing their inspirations encourages further positive action.
History: 2007
$91,000 in contributions Donated to over 75 diverse and deserving not‑for‑profits
Craig Kielburger, George Stroumboulopoulos, Jim Balsillie, Karen Kain, Frank Giustra, Jeanne Beker—what dreams and desires drive these Canadians to transform their visions into great realities?
Dreams, desires, design and discipline achieve greatness™. Decades of investigation, understanding, and award-winning brand‑building performance have confirmed this. In 2007, this idea and the spirit of philanthropy inspired the book Canadian Greatness that celebrated 28 personalities who are shaping the modern image of Canada in the arts, business, culture, philanthropy, politics and sports. In their own words, they reveal the mantras that propel them to achieve greatness. Sharing their inspirations encouraged others to give forward to not‑for‑profits.
